Through 2015 and 2016, thousands of refugees from Syria and Iraq arrived to Greece. The Khalsa Aid team was waiting on the mainland and the Island of Chios. We were on standby at the beachfront day and night, ready to provide the refugees with warm clothing, food, and water.
We also assisted unaccompanied minors, provided them with company and assistance that they were missing after being separated from their families.
