Khalsa Aid Canada Team #Victoria in collaboration with @vicpdcanada transported care packages prepared for youth shelters/transitions homes as part of the Mata Gujri Ji and the Chaar Sahibzaade Winter Drive.
The facilities provided for were:
1. Foundry Clinic offers young people 12-24 access to mental health and substance use support, primary care, peer support, and social services.
2. Lighthouse Youth Shelter, a youth supportive housing site for 15-20 young people who would otherwise be living on the street.
3. Kiwanis provides a 10-bed emergency shelter for youth experiencing a crisis and seeking support services. KEYS offers services that include: individual and family counseling, information on community resources, and referrals for support.
4. Sanctuary Youth Centre is a drop-in center for street entrenched and at-risk youth
between the ages of 14 and 22.
