”Discrimination against menstruating women is widespread in India, where periods have long been a taboo and considered impure.” – BBC News

Our Khalsa Aid India female team organised a menstrual hygiene awareness drive. This is an ongoing project, and the drive will be organised in different cities across Punjab and surrounding states.

We will provide basic information on menstrual hygiene to marginalized women and distribute sanitary napkins.

“It is time we realise that menstruation is just a biological process and the secrecy surrounding it must go. It is important to normalise menstruation and destroy taboos around this natural process,” #bbc
